Fat Loss Tip 3 - Exercise first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This helps your body lose more fat. One reason this works is because during the night you are basically fasting for 8-12 hours. This will deplete your body's stored glycogen. When your glycogen stores are low - your body burns more fat.

Both of the above exercise fat loss tips are used by fitness experts and body builders. These are the people to use as role models for your most effective fat loss.

Fat Loss Tip 4 - Eat 5 small servings of protein throughout the day. The best proteins to lose fat include fresh, organic eggs, lean beef, skinless chicken, yogurt, tuna, salmon, and turkey.

Fat Loss Tip 5 - Eat less starch. This includes breads and pastas. The extra proteins make up for the calories so you don't lose muscle.

    Weight Loss Secrets: Five Secrets To Weight Loss

    Weight loss – such a “big” topic! Every month another book is out by another expert on weight loss. Everyone wants to know the secret to losing weight.

    I certainly don’t have THE secret, but I do have some secrets, and I want to share them with you in the hope you find them helpful.

    Weight used to be a major issue for me. Losing weight was never out of my thoughts, and I can’t tell you how many different diets, pills and programs I tried until I discovered some “secrets” that have worked for me for many years now.

    So here they are. I hope they work as well for you as they have for me.

    1. Change your focus from losing weight to achieving great health.

    I grew up as a sickly child and I was a sickly young adult. I hated being sick and never having energy to do all the things I wanted to do. So I decided to learn about what creates great health.

    First I read tons of books on nutrition and became convinced that I needed to switch to organic foods. That was quite a challenge in 1961! There was one coop health food store that I had to follow around Los Angeles because it kept moving locations. But it was worth it! My rule of thumb now is – if they didn’t eat it 100 years ago, then I won’t eat it now. This cuts out most packaged and processed foods and leaves natural, organic food.

    2. Learn to read your body signals regarding what feels good to your body and what feels bad.

    I no longer read about all the different diets because I’ve learned to tune into MY body so that I know exactly what my body needs for great health. Since my body needs different things than your body, no single food plan will work for everyone. Your job is to learn to tune into what gives you energy and what robs you of energy, and what foods create calmness and which ones create agitation. Once I learned what my body needs for great health, I lost weight and kept it off easily.

    3. Find a form of exercise that you enjoy and that you can do at least 5 times a week.

    I discovered that I love to walk in nature, so I take a fast half-hour walk every day. However, this can be a problem if you have physical limitations or chronic illness. Losing weight with chronic illness or physical limitations is not impossible, but it can be a much bigger challenge.

    4. Learn to discern which part of you determines what and when you eat, as well as how much you eat.

    We all have a wounded part of ourselves that uses various addictions as ways to deal with feelings of loneliness, aloneness, helplessness, anxiety, depression, fear and anger. Some people may use alcohol, drugs, spending, TV, gambling, sex, and so on to avoid their pain, while other use food. While food may work to pacify painful feelings for the moment, in the long run all addictions backfire and create the very pain you are trying to avoid. Yet our wounded self keeps choosing addictive behavior as a way of managing pain. As long as the wounded part of you is making your food choices, you may continue to have a weight problem.

    The part of us that is capable of managing painful feelings in healthy ways and making healthy choices is the loving Adult. The loving Adult is the part of us that has a deep desire to learn about and take loving action in our own behalf. Developing a loving Adult is a major aspect in creating health and wellbeing, as well as in losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight.

    5. Learn to connect with a spiritual source of wisdom, strength, love and guidance.

    The loving Adult is that part of us that is connected with a spiritual source of guidance rather than being governed by the mind. The mind, bring programmed from childhood, is the home of the wounded self. You are being a loving Adult at those moments when you choose to be guided by a source of wisdom beyond your mind. This source will always guide you toward your highest good. You just need to learn to open and listen.

    It is very likely that you will not only lose weight, but will also move into more physical and emotional health and wellbeing if you embrace these “secrets” into your life.     We all have those people who we connect with on a higher level. As you know, Wayne Dyer is my spiritual mentor who helps me stay in that higher level of consciousness. His messages resonate with me and I am so grateful that he is in my life.

    With this said, I had a clear message that I was supposed to watch his DVD on the Power of Intention. I’ve watched it from time to time since I received it about a year and half ago. This Divine message was clear: Watch it daily! So for the past two weeks I have watched it during my morning exercise routine. You know how we have to listen to something over and over, and over some more before we begin to fully appreciate the message.

    What has happened to me as a result of this Dyer Marathon?

    I thought I was already a very calm person, but now I am even more at peace. I’m learning to manifest love for myself and connect to God in an even greater way that I could ever imagine. Each day, each moment I get to practice staying connected. What an incredible gift!

    Here’s a message from the DVD I would like to share with you. When you squeeze an orange, what comes out? Orange juice, of course. It has nothing to do with the person who is squeezing the orange that is producing the orange juice. This is what is already inside. Right?

    Likewise when someone squeezes us by saying something negative and out of us comes a negative emotion such as hatred, then that’s what is inside of us. It isn’t the person who is doing the squeezing that is producing the negative emotion; it is what is already inside of us. Right? Great message, isn’t it?

    What do you have inside?

    When you stay connected to God, you stay connected to the Divinity that is within you. Love yourself first and then love will ooze out of you. Wayne Dyer’s message is clear in this regard as well. You can’t give away what you don’t already have for yourself.

    Watch what comes out of you. If you have negative stuff oozing from you, then stop. Be still. Grab something that will clean off that connection to God. What are some of those powerful cleansers? Meditation, EFT, affirmations, gratitude, deep breathing, spiritual books, Wayne Dyer’s DVD, taking a walk.

    Love yourself and watch the pounds disappear because you will attract everything that will ooze being healthy. All because you loved yourself first.

    Remember: You are enough! You do deserve! You are God’s gift to the world!

    Let’s have some fun! Right now, put on some butt-movin’ music. Get up and dance and move your body. Breathe in life and shout, “I am awesome! I am meant for greatness! I am sooooooooooooo sexy!”

    I went dancing recently and realized that I need to do this more often. I get to be creative and let go…..when I’m dancing individually. It’s a different story when I partner dance.

    Currently, I am with a partner who likes to partner dance and do west coast swing and salsa. He has taken lessons and has been dancing for several years. As for me, I took cha cha lessons years ago with my ex-husband and it wasn’t the best experience so partner dancing reveals a lot of things for me, which involves more than just dancing.

    Picture me out on the dance floor being led around all over the place, but still trying to lead when I have no idea what I am doing. My partner informs me that I only have to follow and his responsibility is to make me look good. Follow! What does that mean? I tell him that I only want to move and shake my hiney. Of course, he tells me that it’s not the way one does it.

    This has brought up some insecurities in me: “I’m not good enough. No one is there for me.” This is a great lesson for me, and I’m determined to let go and experience “following”. As a result, I have signed up for dance lessons so that I can get better and am anxious to experience all that is intended for me.

    Guess what those insecurities are related to? Childhood! There was a great deal of chaos while growing up, and I took on the belief that no one was there for me so I had to be there for myself. This comes out on the dance floor about following my partner and being able to rely on him. I have made this realization and am doing my own energy work around this. Too bad we’re not tap dancing as the EFT which involves tapping would go right along with it.

    Fortunately, this man is so understanding as I explain all of this to him. We can laugh about it and he is helping me to let go on many different levels.

    For today, dance and let go. Know that you are enough, and that you are whole and complete just the way you are. God is always there for you and surrounds you with his love. He also puts people in your path to help and all you need to do is ask. This is another great lesson for me.

    God also encourages you to shake your hiney too because it makes you feel good. Like Wayne Dyer says, “feeling good and feeling God are synonymous.

    Are you miserable with how you look and feel? Have you tried diet after diet and failed? Have you given up on losing weight? You are not alone. Every year millions of people take a trip on the diet and weight loss roller coaster and they spend billions of dollars on every fad diet available in an attempt to lose weight.

    What are the secrets to losing weight? First of all, diets don't work, period. There is NO magic pill, machine or “secret” that will magically make your body lose weight. You have to think of it as a new way of life, a permanent commitment, not just something you do for a few days or a week and it's over.

    If you follow a diet or weight loss plan that requires you to totally eliminate foods or severely limit certain foods, you are setting yourself up for disappointment, frustration, and disaster from the start. You do not have to starve your body to lose fat. In fact, you must never skip a meal to lose weight. Think about it. The main goal of your body is to survive.

    If you try to lose weight by reducing your calories too much, your body will respond by storing fat instead of losing it and using muscle tissue to provide it with the calories it needs. You body reacts this way because muscle is the most readily available energy source.

    Using muscle tissue to feed the body lowers muscle mass causing the body's metabolism to slow down. This, in turn, makes it that much more difficult to lose weight. Starving yourself is NOT the answer! The result is a vicious cycle of trying to lose weight but gaining weight instead.

    What will burn that stubborn body fat and rev up your metabolism without burning muscle mass? To effectively lose weight, you must drink lots of water, exercise daily, and eat five or six small nutritious meals throughout the day, no more than four hours apart. This weight loss plan keeps your metabolism working at maximum efficiency to burn fat.

    Your body will not store up fat calories because it senses there will be a steady supply of food and you will not feel hungry or deprived between meals. With this change in your eating habits, you will not be as tempted to cheat and your weight loss will be much easier.

    In addition, you MUST do some sort of daily exercise. Walking, power walking, jogging, elliptical training, bicycling and swimming are excellent and easy exercises that will put your body in fat-burning mode. These exercises force your body to burn a higher percentage of calories from fat and they increase your muscle mass, allowing you to eat more. Plus, your body will burn calories for up to an hour after the activity stops.

    The secrets to the most effective diet and weight loss plan are to listen to your body and eat when your body tells you it's hungry, do daily exercises and make the commitment to follow these guidelines for a lifetime. Once you train your body to follow a proper diet and nutrition plan, you will eat more frequently but you will eat fewer calories, feel more satisfied, and lose weight in a healthy manner. In that way and only that way, will you lose weight and keep it off.

    Many people are obsessed with losing weight these days. Even people who are in good shape spend a lot of time worrying about their weight and the state of their health. People often turn to different kinds of plans and programs to help them lose weight. They are always on the lookout for effective weight loss secrets.

    The problem with this is that there really are no weight loss secrets. Doctors and researchers have worked tirelessly on the latest developments to help people lose weight, but they always end up going back to the basics. In recent years there have been many weight loss pills that have worked for some people, but these either turn out to be dangerous, or don’t have the long-term effect people need to maintain their weight loss.

    If you are in the hunt for weight loss secrets, you may realize that you already know them. Controlling your food intake and getting plenty of exercise is the only tried and true method. You also have to adjust your lifestyle to maintain the weight you lost. You can’t go back to eating tons of fast food after you’ve shed a few pounds, or it will come back.     If you really want weight loss secrets, talk to people you trust. If you knew someone who has successfully lost weight and maintained it, ask him or her for tips. You can also find help from programs like Weight Watchers or TOPS. These programs help people by giving them a sympathetic ear and joining them in their weight loss journey. Losing weight can be easier if you have a lot of support and it may also inspire you to persevere on your mission.
